Care Guide

Care tips

Auria products are natural, and they give their best result when used the way the Auria team explains: the right amount, warm water, and the head covered.

Everything you need is here in one place: what suits each hair type, the rules of use, and each product's method.

For the best result

Simple rules from the Auria team that apply to every product unless noted.

  • Cover the head

After applying the mix, cover the head with a hair cap, or with a clean plastic bag and a towel over it. Covering keeps in warmth and moisture; without it the result is weaker.

  • Warm water for mixing

Mix the powder with clean warm water until smooth, and mashat until the texture is creamy and slightly runny. For sidr, henna and masks, water boiled with herbs can replace plain water, for added benefit.

  • Only what is needed, used at once

Prepare only what the hair needs: 3–4 spoons of sidr or sidr mask, 2–3 spoons of mashat, or fewer depending on hair length and thickness. Sidr, sidr-mask and mashat mixes are used as soon as they are prepared: not left to rest, and not stored.

  • Only henna rests

The henna mix and the henna mask rest for 2–3 hours at room temperature, not in the fridge, then go on the hair for 3–4 hours with the head covered, and are rinsed out.

  • Sidr as a shampoo

Massage the scalp with the sidr mix continuously for about 5 minutes, then wash the hair. When sidr is used as a shampoo or a wash, no covering is needed; covering is for the mask only.

  • Combining products

Mashat is used on its own, or with sidr, henna or the sidr mask. Herb-pouch water is used to mix sidr, henna or a mask, or, once lukewarm, as a hair toner that does not change hair colour.

  • Storage

Keep the products in a cool, dry place away from moisture and sun, with the pack tightly closed. Never in the fridge: moisture spoils the powder and the herbs.

  • Regular use

Results come with regular use: the sidr mask shows results from the first two weeks, herbal henna gives length and density over the long term, and red mashat brings its burgundy-brown tone with continued use.

Frequently asked questions

Short answers about the products, how to use them, and orders.

Products

Do Auria products contain preservatives or artificial colours?

No. Auria products have no preservatives and no artificial colours. Ground sidr is 100% pure sidr with no additives, and Madina henna is pure organic henna with no additives.

Does brown mashat change hair colour?

No. Brown mashat is made for coloured hair: it gives the benefits of the herbs without changing the hair colour. Red mashat, on the other hand, gives the hair a burgundy-brown tone with regular use.

Does the sidr mask change hair colour, and when do results show?

The sidr mask does not change hair colour, and results show from the first two weeks.

Can sidr be used on the face and skin?

Yes. Ground sidr is Auria's only product used on the skin, as a face mask or face wash. It is also used as a body wash for washing and bathing.

Can Garly Elixir be used during pregnancy?

If pregnant: consult a doctor before using Garly Elixir, for the health and safety of the baby.

Can Garly Elixir be used on the beard?

Yes, Garly Elixir is used on the hair and on men's beards too. Herbal sidr is also used on the beard.

Use

How long should henna rest?

2–3 hours at room temperature, not in the fridge. Then it goes on the hair for 3–4 hours with the head covered, and is rinsed out. The henna mask is prepared the same way.

Can the mix be prepared and kept for later?

No. Sidr, herbal sidr, the sidr mask and mashat are used as soon as they are prepared — not left to rest and not stored — so prepare only what is needed. Only henna is left to rest, for 2–3 hours, and then used right away.

Does the head need to be covered?

Yes, with masks, henna and mashat, and with sidr when it is used as a mask: with a hair cap, or a clean plastic bag with a towel over it, because covering keeps in warmth and moisture and without it the result is weaker. Sidr used as a shampoo or a wash needs no covering.

Can mashat be used with sidr or henna?

Yes. Mashat is used on its own, or with sidr, henna or the sidr mask.
